OPERATION "KRY: PSD #11
11. Operation "KRY"
A. Definition: Operation "KRY" is an acrostic that stands for (K)now, (R)eckon and (Y)ield. Operation "KRY" is the divinely provided technique to be used by every believer to never commit another personal sin after salvation.
B Documentation: (Romans 6:6, 11, 13)
(K)now - Romans 6:6
"Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with [him], that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin." (KJV)
(R)eckon - Romans 6:11
"Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord." (KJV)
(Y)ield - Romans 6:13
"Neither yield ye your members [as] instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members [as] instruments of righteousness unto God." (KJV)
C. Problem solved: Operation "KRY" solves the problem of having to commit a personal sin when temptation arises. While the rebound technique and yieldedness to God the Holy Spirit restore the believer to fellowship with God after post-salvation sin occurs, operation "KRY" enables the believer to face temptation and never sin again. (See the document titled, Christian, You Never Have to Sin Again or Volitional Perfection)
D. How does Operation "KRY" solve the problem of committing personal sin after salvation?
Operation "KRY" is a three step process every time the temptation to sin arises. The steps are as follows:
1) Know - Using Romans 6:6, the believer must know that God views his old man, the pre-salvation life under the dominant influence of the old-sin-nature, as crucified with Christ. This means that God views our old man as dead, and therefore, incapable of producing personal sins.
2) Reckon - Using Romans 6:11, the believer reckons (agrees) with God that his old man is dead to sin because God says that it is dead, and therefore, incapable of producing personal sins. He must also reckon himself alive unto God through Christ Jesus, which means that he has the capability of doing what God requires.
3) Yield - Using Romans 6:13, the believer then yields to God, which means that the believers makes a decision to do the thing required of God.
It must be understood that between reckoning and yielding there will be pain and suffering because the old man will not want to die. The pain and suffering experienced by the believer between reckon and yield is an indication that God does not use spiritual anesthesia to put your old man to death.
