DIVINE HAPPINESS: PSD #8
8. Divine Happiness (perfect happiness, the happiness of God)
A. Definition: Divine happiness is the perpetual happiness that gives the advancing believer the capacity to be content under any set of circumstances.
B. Documentation: (Philippians 3:1; 4:4)
C. Problem solved: Divine happiness solves the problem of discontentment that is associated with both living and dying while living the Christian way of life.
D. How does the divine happiness of God solve the problem of discontentment associated with living and dying while living the Christian way of life?
1) Absolute happiness (+H) is the result of the application of pertinent doctrine to life's situations.
2) Inner happiness results from pertinent doctrine applied to life's situations because pertinent doctrine enables the advancing believer to understand the "whys" of life's problems.
3) When the believer understands the "whys" of life's problems and applies pertinent doctrine, contentment is always the natural result.
